Wichita Riverfest Annual Photography Contest Briefing Session

The 2008 Riverfest Photography Contest is almost upon us!

We want to thank you for participating in the Riverfest Photography Contest, and thought we might give you a little heads-up about this year's contest. Principally there's one change for this year: the addition of 2 categories. In addition to those we've had in the past, we're adding categories for Fireworks and Kids' Events/Activities. That means you'll be able to enter more images than ever before!

These sessions are intended to help you know what to shoot during Riverfest to increase your chances of winning. There will be 3 sessions available on May 9^th, the first day of the Festival. If you can attend one of these sessions, you'll get some insight into the photos that Wichita Festivals is most interested in seeing. Since the judging is done by Wichita Festivals, this information is like getting the key to the city. With any luck, we'll have some of the judges available during these sessions to give you clues about what to shoot for the best results in the contest.

Your entries in the past have been great images that have created an impressive collection of photos. This year we look forward to seeing more and even better photos than ever before, and we're confident that you're able to deliver. So get ready to participate again and be sure to keep your eyes open for the rules and entry form, and more details as they become available.
